Rabbit needs home in Ann Arbor, MI

I live in Ann Arbor, MI and work at the Humane Society of Huron Valley. I look out for the rabbits and rodents that come in to us. I am posting because one of them needs a forever home very badly. Cinnamon is a Netherland Dwarf female rabbit I have been fostering for several months. She is about 1-2 years old, already spayed, and uses a litterbox. She's great with cats and is very well behaved when she runs around the apartment. She LOVES being petted and will tolerate being held. Like most bunnies, she can have a bit of an attitude when she wants to, but she has made SO MUCH progress in foster care. She needs a home without small children and loud dogs, preferably with someone who is familiar with rabbits and their care.

I need to find a home for Cinnamon ASAP. I can not keep her much longer or give her the individual attention she deserves. I do not want to bring her back to the shelter for several reasons. First and foremost, she freaks out there due to the noise and activity and everything. That is why I took her into foster care in the first place - she was so afraid there that she was getting defensive and nippy. Secondly, my shelter has VERY limited space for rabbits and rodents and has stepped up their euthanasia rate for small animals. If I bring Cinnamon back to the shelter, due to her behavior there and due to lack of space there is a very good chance she would be put down. I do not want to see this happen to her.

If anyone can provide a home for this bunny, her adoption fee is $35. For a healthy, already spayed bunny who has excellent litter habits, that's a great price. Please email me at klvaught AT comcast DOT net if you are interested.
